Sophia, the robot which resembles the Hollywood star Audrey Hepburn was designed & created by David Hanson, the CEO of Hanson Robotics Ltd. Sophia has been grabbing the world’s attention, especially after she was granted citizenship of Saudi Arabia.

Hanson Robotics is constantly working to enhance and capture the world’s imagination through robots and they have come up with several robots in the past. For example, Professor Einstein - a science tutor, Philip K. Dick -a renowned sci-fi writer etc.., It’s Sophia which has grabbed a lot of limelight.

Sophia was activated on April 19, 2015, and is well-known for its human-like appearance and behavior. Sophia makes use of artificial intelligence & facial recognition. Its intelligence software is designed by SingularityNET and the voice recognition technology comes from Alphabet Inc. Hanson aims that Sophia could be a suitable companion to interact with the elderly and help organize crowds at large events.

The event is scheduled to be held by 02:30 pm and in front of an enormous 2000+ audience, Sophia will be answering the questions. The Techfest team has launched a hashtag campaign #AskSophia in Twitter which has gained an overwhelming response among the users. The team is working on what has to be asked since all they have is less than an hour of the interactive session. So, let’s stay and watch how Sophia is going to work things out this time.
